TEMPSC

A Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC) is a type of marine safety equipment that is designed to provide emergency transportation for people in the event of a marine accident. These craft are typically used on ships, oil rigs, and other offshore structures, and are designed to be used in rough seas and other harsh marine environments.
TEMPSCs are typically self-righting, which means that they are able to right themselves if they capsize, ensuring that passengers and crew can safely evacuate the vessel even if it has capsized. They are also equipped with survival equipment, such as life jackets, flares, and other items that can help people survive in the water until they can be rescued.
TEMPSCs are required by international regulations to be carried on certain types of vessels, such as passenger ships and oil rigs, and are essential for ensuring the safety of passengers and crew in the event of an emergency. These craft are built to be sturdy and reliable, with sturdy hulls, powerful engines, and other features that enable them to withstand rough seas and other harsh conditions.
According to the IMO guidelines, TEMPSCs on offshore installations should be able to accommodate the maximum number of personnel that may need to be evacuated in an emergency, and should be able to operate in the expected weather and sea conditions at the installation. The guidelines also specify that TEMPSCs should be able to be launched and retrieved in a safe and efficient manner, and should be equipped with appropriate survival equipment, such as life jackets and survival suits.
In addition to the IMO guidelines, TEMPSCs for oil rigs may also be subject to additional national or local regulations in the countries in which the rigs operate. These regulations may set out additional requirements for the use and maintenance of TEMPSCs, or may set out additional requirements for the training of personnel who will be using these craft in an emergency.
