AALNG an Australian provider of mid-scale LNG infrastructure and PJU – Petrogas Jatim Utama an East Java Provincial owned enterprise is to built a new LNG terminal hub in Probolinggo, East Java.
The new LNG hub will comprise a floating storage unit (FSU), Onshore LNG regasification terminal and a truck loading distribution facilities. First gas of this facility is expected by 2020 with a throughput capacity of 1.5 million MTPA.
AALNG has awarded KBR and Ove Arup & Partners(Arup) to do a pre-front end engineering and design (FEED) study. KBR’s pre-FEED study will focus on the onshore LNG regasification terminal and truck loading distribution facilities. The pre-FEED study will be further developed for subsequent implementation phases to meet a throughput capacity of 3 million MTPA.
The terminal could potentially be expanded by adding more LNG Regas trains and LNG storage to meet future demands in the East Java region. This pre-FEED study is expected to be performed over ten weeks.
